Photovoltaics will dominate due to high efficiency, innovation, and mass deployment. Advances in nanotechnology, computing, and materials cut costs and boost PV, battery, and electronics performance. Sunny regions will gain importance, reshaping trade and power relations. Decentralised solar requires new grids, storage, and digital control. Europe must secure supply chains, adapt industry, and expand infrastructure. Global cooperation is vital to ensure resilience and fair distribution of benefits. Managing this transition will require coordinated policies across sectors. Success will hinge on integrating technology, industry, and social equity.
